I read an article in the on line Joplin Globe that made me a little homesick.
There was an article about the opening day of trout season at Roaring River State Park, which is located near Cassville, Missouri.
While I’ve never been there to fish on opening day, it’s something that I’ve heard about every year for my entire life.
When you hear, "It's opening day at Roaring River", you know that Spring is here!! They also have a fishing tournament every summer. You can go to Roaring River State Park to fish, walk trails, tour the hatchery and sit at the waterfall. It’s a beautiful place. I don’t know if the water fall is a natural occurrence or if it’s man made, but my favorite thing to do there is to sit and listen to the little waterfall.
