Fun For Me ... Music For You

Well, we had a great session at La Gondola this evening. The players for the evening were Ava (that's me)on banjo, irish whistle and fiddle, Joann on irish whistle and tambourine, Andrew on guitar, fiddle and bazookie (sp), Sondra on mandolin and guitar and Dave on guitar.

Cathy came but didn't play this evening. She brought a friend with her and they listened for a while. Dave brought a friend, Fred, who also plays the guitar. We hope that he plays with us next week. Shawn came to listen.

I made my banjo debut this evening. I think I played five songs on the banjo. During the last song that I played, I broke my pick in half! Really! Right in half. Dang! I've never had that happen before!!!

Well, I'll post more later. I think this is going to be fun. I hope so, anyway. I'll post some pictures when I get the chance. I haven't taken any yet ... and must snag the camera away from my husband. But I'll get it done!!!
