General:
Well, I didn't get any blogging done today. I also didn't get to vist any of my blogging friends. So sorry!!!
My husband and I spent the day together and just took it easy. We did some cleaning out of the empty bedroom, he cooked a pot of ham and beans that was delicious!!!!
Watched a movie ... The Comancheros with John Wayne, cross stitched, played a little mandolin and that was just about the day.

Sounds like the perfect day to me. My room mate has a lot of John Wayne also but his tapes are wearing out and I am trying to find his favorites on DVD. Time to try ebay or Amazon.com.

I was a little down yesterday, and my son gave me a Mother's Day present early, to try to cheer me up--a DVD of Mel Gibson's movie, "What Women Want." I just love Mel in this movie...
So, that's what I'll be doing later, watching my new movie, but first shower, off for a nice long walk...

It's good to get off the computer and spend time with your husband, especially when he has been gone...and even when he's home.
We love John Wayne movies too, but last night we watched that flight 93 movie and it was just sooo sad. But one thing about it...it helped to remind me of 9/11 and all the innocent people who lost their lives that day and also the people that died later because of 9/11.
