Birds: My Baby Birds

Well, I heard lots of "cheaping" and decided to peak inside the sparrows nest. I couldn't see, but held the camera up there and got some shots, just hoping to get a glimpse of what was going on inside.Surprise!!! There are five little babies in there!!
These are a little colony of sparrows who live as a comune all winter in this nest and two others.
They split up once spring gets here and they usually raise at least two nests of babies before the summer is over.
I enjoy having them.

I have taken many a picture like that just holding the camera up to the nest. Some came out some didn't. Glad you have some baby birds.
This nest isn't a typical bird nest. Most are bowl shaped and open at the top. Not so with this one. It's built up into a huge nest (like a said earlier, it's a sparrow commune in the winter) with a tunnel entrance on the side. It's really neat.
How sweet...I haven't found any nest around here yet and I'm glad because if I found it, then the cats could to.
I'm like doubleknot...I've taken pictures like that too just holding the camera up and snapping the picture. I have even turned the camera backwards and taken a picture of people behind us, while I'm on the streetbike just to see who they are.
