Flowers: Dandelions
I know ... they are weeds ...
But I can't help but think back to my childhood and how pretty I thought they were.
I still think they're pretty. I just don't want them all over my yard!!!

I am with you I think dandelions are pretty. Way back when my neighbors yard - well half acre front yard didn't get mowed too often and it would be just covered with danelions and it was so pretty.
I used to have the best time blowing the seeds after they turned into that white ball.
Can you believe people buy them like other flower seeds? I assume they buy the dandelion seed packets or the stores wouldn't be selling them.
I've heard they're supposed to make good tea. I've never tried it.

Horray! Glad to find some friends who also think dandelions are pretty!!!
Yes, they make good tea, wine and you can fry them and eat them. I used to fry them. They taste kind of like breaded mushroom.
The recipe:
1. Pick them
2. Soak in brine (salt water) to get the bugs out
3. Dip in milk
4. Roll in your favorite breading mixture
5. Fry until golden brown.
Mmmm Mmm ... very tasty. I like salt on mine. Haven't eaten any for years.
