General: Fireplace Logs

Here's a picture of my fireplace logs in the gas fireplace.
I have two others that are wood burning.

They look so real? I would love to have some gas logs and we have often thought about just buying one of those standup stoves for gas logs, but I don't think it would look as nice as a fireplace.
I don't know ... I've seen some really nice looking ones out there. If you have room for it, it would be pretty.
Your fire place is nice. How does that work? You burn real wood in it but the gas keeps it going. We live in a mobel home and fire places don't go in them. My daughter has two fire places she says she is going to convert of gas.
Hi Doubleknot!
No, the gas logs are some kind of metal that retain and radiate the heat from the gas fire.
I use the chopped wood in the downstairs fireplace in the winter. We don't use the one if the dining room. But I use the gas fireplace all of the time in the winter.
I really enjoy it.
