Music, Hannibal Session:

Well, tonight was a great session. We had several people missing, but enjoyed ourselves a lot.

I'm going to create the circle from memory so please forgive me if I leave anyone out.

The players were Chris on tenor banjo ... Ava on fiddle, tenor banjo, whistle and guitar ... Sondra on mandolin ... Joann on whistle and tambourine ... Dwain on guitar ... Andrew on fiddle ... Larry on fiddle and guitar ... Don on bass ... Rob on percussion ... Tony on whistle ... Lisa on fiddle ... Dave S on guitar ... Dale M on guitar and bass ... Ian on guitar ... Doug on mandolin and tenor banjo ... Ned on guitar ... LA on banjo... Terry on guitar ... Wade on percussion ... Melissa on percussion.

Some of the people in the audience were Melanie, Gretchen and Grandmother, Evelyn, Bob, Harry, Ellen, Mary Jo, Noel. There were lots of people there that I didn't know. Melanie passed out the percussion for the audience to use and was a hit, as always. There were several people interested in the Contra Dance. I talked to some of them and Melanie passed out some flyers and talked to them also. Hopefully Harry and Ellen with be at the dance. I'll be looking for them.

Sondra got a new mandolin. She had a lot of fun with it this evening. Doug had fun with my tenor banjo ... Benny the Banjo has a new friend!! I also played Doug's mandolin. He has better strings than I do!! I had fun playing the banjo on some of the tunes that I knew. Boy, my picking arm got tired ... and burned ... and ached ... but it was worth every minute of it!!!!

We missed Beverly, Josh, Betsy, Dale H, Adam, Clayton, Kevin, Phillip, Robert, Sarah, Elizabeth, Dave L, Fred, Aaron and Paul from the band. We also missed Charlie, George, Suzie and Jack from the audience. Hopefully you all will be back soon!!!

Well, must post some pictures.

Ta ta!!

Ava
