Birds:

While out bird watching at Siloam Springs,
Which,
by the way,
is my favorite place to go bird watching ...
We saw a Pileated Woodpecker.
I was SO excited!
What's so great about that?
Well, I was 37 at the time and had never seen one before.
They are a large bird.
Reminds you of the dinosaur era when you see one flying by.
I would never have seen it if it hadn't been frightened and flown right in front of us.
I think I remember jumping up and down because I was seeing one for the first time.
It was very fun!
I've not seen one since, but I know they're out there!!!
I hear them when I'm walking at Siloam Springs.
I'm sure I'll see another one some day.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I don't know what kind of woodpeckers we have, but I think they are red-headed woodpeckers and they're as big as mallard ducks. They are amazing to see and you sure don't want them pecking on your house.
