Ely Opry:

Well, after the Quincy session was over at La Gondola, I headed out to Ely for some more music. What a great night. There were lots of people there and the music was still going at 1:00am. I love nights like that. From about 1:30 to 2:00am it was just me, Doug and William on guitar. We ran through fiddle tunes. That's always my favorite part of the night. Which is the reason I always get home so late.

While I was there, Jeff, who is my neighbor, said he can get home in 35 minutes. It usually takes me 45 going through Palmyra. I go that way because I'm leaving from La Gondola. Anyway, since Jeff said 35 minutes I thought I would try it. You know ... every minute counts when you're playing music. So ... I stayed on 36 and came home through Hannibal. I think I did make better time. Next time Dave rides with me I'll see if he'll drop his car off at my house. It's sure a more pleasant drive staying on 36 all the way.

Anyway ... after having sore hands and not being able to play music for three days ... it was wonderful to have my fiddle out and play to my hearts content!!! And better yet ... with friends!!!

Awesome!!!!

I plan on having my recording finished and some CD's to pass out next Thursday. I passed out some new music and my CD is to play along with or just listen to while learning the songs. It's been a fun project and I'm almost finished with it.

Well, it's 3:03 am and I'm heading to bed.

Adios amigos!!!!!
Ahora me estoy yendo a la cama. ( I'm going to bed now.)

:)
