Hannibal Jam Session

Well, after playing street music two days in a row on Saturday and Sunday ... I wasn't sure that I would survive to play again on Monday. But I did!!!!!

However, within the first hour of fiddling, one of my fingers was bleeding. Seriously! My left pointer finger. Oh well ...

We played and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, my brain is too tired to even think about listing who all was there and who wasn't. Sorry.

We played to a standing room only crowd tonight! Very cool!!!!! That made it even more fun than usual. We've had a crowd that big once before a few months back. Loved it!

Well, on another note, I'm working up some new songs to sing out at Ely. I'm getting tired of singing the same six ones every time. I need a little more variety ... you know ... spice it up a little. I spend most of my time playing fiddle, but love to sing. I'm also working up some more "country oldies" for La Prairie, as well as some new fiddle tunes.

Well, must move along. I've got some laundry going ... 10:30 at night ... but hey ... when you need clean clothes ... you need clean clothes!!!!!

I need to spend some time brushing back up on my banjo tunes this week. I've been focusing on fiddle and guitar ... Benny the banjo is crying for some attention. Actually, Sondra and I were offered a job and they want banjo and guitar. That way we could switch off ... it's so much nicer when you can break it up by switching instruments. They liked the banjo and the fact that we were "two girls" ... they thought that was unusual.

Oh yeah, I was going ...

Talk to ya later!
