Movie Night

Well, Friday night
we decided to go to the drive in movie
at Summer Hill,
which is just outside of Pittsfield, Illinois.

Yes, yes ...
Pirates of the Caribbean.
It was a good movie.

As you can see,
The drive in is in the middle of a farmers field.
There's corn to the left,
corn to the right,
and a drive in movie in the middle ...
just a little square.

Here's a picture of the screen and concession stand.
There were only a few there when we first got there,
But it filled up by the time the movie started.

Comments:
If you build it, they will come.

We have a drive in about 40 miles down the road. I should take the girls before school starts.

It was a lot of fun and very relaxing!

Last summer, we went to the drive-in almost every weekend. We've only gone once so far this year. It is very cheap compared to theaters and Peanut gets to go also. He loves it.

We're going to try to see Pirates of the Caribbean next weekend.

I just discovered your blog. Very nice.
Nice to see that drive in movies are still around. I thought they had all closed.

we don't have a drivein movie no more. Wish we did, I used to love outdoor movies!!

something about being outdoors, watching a movie.. it's so different!!

Bring back drive-in's!!

I'm with you all.

North-
I totally agree!

Bring back drive-ins!!!

Bring back drive-ins!!!

Gary-
Welcome to the blog. It's a little unpredictable and sometimes silly and talks a lot about music!! Come back again.

Tina-
That's cool that Peanut gets to go to the drive-in movie with you all. I bed he loves it. Whose lap does he sit in?

well Ava, "when" I win a lottery, I will build it, and they "will" come!! lol

Gosh, I never even saw a drive-in with the radio to listen to it; until we moved to Alberta in 1980!!

We were looking all over for the speaker!! Yep, we had the speakers here in north country, not radio.

BRING BACK DRIVE-IN's!!

Hey Ava. Peanut sits almost anywhere he wants: on the ground, in everyone's laps, in a chair, in the back of the van.

Peanut is so cute and so sweet!
