Quincy Session at La Gondola
We had a great session tonight. I was definitely ready to play after not playing since Monday and I hadn't played with a group since last Thursday! A whole week!!! That's just not cool! Not at all!!!!
Anyway, my fiddle was happy to be out and I sure enjoyed playing.
The players tonight were Tony on fiddle, flute and Irish whistle ... Lisa on fiddle ... Joann on Irish whistle ... Don on bass ... Jeanie on drum ... Dave on guitar ... Larry on fiddle and mandolin and me on fiddle and guitar.
Lucas came and brought someone with him to eat, but left when they were finished. My friend Scott from Smith Music came and had supper. He gave us the "thumbs up" as he was leaving. I had just been in the store last Friday, but he was off that day.
Tony passed out a bunch of new music that I'll be playing through tomorrow to see what new treasures there are. I get really excited over new music!!!!
Dave is working over time and wasn't able to go to Ely with me after all. Some of our audience members are thinking about running out to Ely to listen one of these nights. That would be fun.
Well ... that's it for now I guess. As always ... if I forgot anyone ... please forgive me. I'm always thrilled to have everyone there. We missed Sondra and Andrew this evening and hope that all is well.
Until next time ...
Puede usted tener sueños dulces,
La suerte del irlandés,
¡Y porciones del juego de música!!!!
(May you have sweet dreams,
The luck of the Irish,
And play lots of music!!!!)
PS My spanish isn't that great, so please understand if my translations are lacking!
Gracias!

I learned a Spanish word in the restaurant bathroom the other day...well two words:
"no fumar."
And I'm thinking it means no smoking .
